$525,000.00 - Paralyzed waist down

Litigated in court, a case for our client who had a tumor which was not diagnosed for years by the treating physician and as a consequence left her paralyzed.

$465,000.00 plus Medical Expenses of $600,000.00 paid by Workers Compensation

Our law firm represented a client who acquired a Staph infection while hospitalized. Our law firm filed a lawsuit for our client against the hospital and physician and after extensive litigation, including numerous depositions of expert witnesses throughout the country; we obtained a settlement of $465,000.00 in addition to payment of all medical expenses, lost wages in the amount of $600,000.00. Our client had developed a Staph infection at a hospital and was 50 years old when she died following surgery from a knee replacement after several weeks.

$405,000 – Burn injury

Injury Lawyer Flora Templeton Stuart filed suit and prior to a jury trial mediated and obtained a $405,000 settlement for our client who was horrifically burned when she was only a few months old. Ms. Stuart established liability on the trailer park where our client had suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns over her head, chest and arms. Our Law Firm established a trust for lifetime benefits and a college fund for our client. All medical bills were paid.

$250,000 – Husband & Wife – Policy Limits

This is a tragic accident where the wife was pregnant at the time her husband was killed on route in the ambulance to the hospital. When she arrived at the hospital she learned of her husband’s death when she woke up. A few days later she learned that her unborn child had died. We handled two (2) claims for our client; one was for the loss of her husband, and one was for her injuries as she was crushed from the waist down. We worked with her to obtain social security disability and a medical card for payment of her medical bills so she could keep her settlement.

$175,000 - Punctured Lung

Our firm obtained a settlement of $175,000 for our client who suffered a cut to his head, broke his shoulder as well as sustained bruised kidneys and a punctured lung as well as broken ribs in a major collision when a semi truck ran a red light. His vehicle was crushed when the semi had ignored the traffic signal in running a red light. We obtained a Kentucky State Police report with photographs and investigated the collision. The client was life flighted to Vanderbilt following the collision where he almost died. We negotiated liens with both Blue Cross and Medicare which took many months to negotiate. Client had approximately $45,000 in medical expenses and we saw that all of the medical bills were paid. We reserved PIP for him for his own use which is auto insurance without charge. This client was wearing his seat belt which saved his life when a semi truck ran the red light.
